Leysdown

Leysdown Promenade Leysdown is a seaside resort situated on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent, resident to a few yocals brave enough to face the harsh winter winds from the Atlantic Ocean. This weather is evident as most , if not all of the local holiday sites, are open only 8 months of the year between March and October. The main accomodation via Leysdown Chalet Services, with a few to choose from, Hearts and Central Beach being closest and most popular.

Leysdown's summer months on contrast to the winter is one of the main attractions to the beach, with on average over 200 hours per month of sunshine in the summer months. A reason in itself for all you sun freaks to drag the kids out of the arcades and swim about in the sea; or just laze about on a towel cooking. Granted, the beach is made up of mainly shells, pebbles and sand, but it beats the city pavements any day!

Evening times there are a few clubhouses, pubs and bars with their own selection of entertainment ranging from magicians to resident bands, pretty much whatever they can get their hands on.
